For His Kingdom: Vision 2023, part #2 | Pastor Mac Hammond | October 29, 2022

Recap:
Vision sets the stage for where we will go in life. That’s why it’s important to set a vision for our individual lives and our life as a church family! That’s what Pastor Mac did this past weekend. He set the stage for where Living Word is going to go in 2023. Our outreach expansion will include our global church plants and expansion of The Winner’s Minute. Our in-reach opportunities will include taking care of our volunteers, taking care of those who tithe, a youth ministry remodel, and a revamped internship program. We are looking forward to this next year!

Dive Deeper:
Set a vision for where you want your life to go! It matters. It will take time and resources to accomplish your vision, so work hard and then wait patiently for it to come together. As you wait, expect that the vision God has given you will be accomplished. Keep your expectation connected to the vision and plan God has given you.

Living Word’s vision for 2023 starts with global church plants. We are excited to take the love of God beyond the four walls of the church and spread His love worldwide. We want to go into places that need Jesus, tell them about his great love, and then leave a church there, so the love of God can continue to shine on a daily basis. We want to plant beacons of hope throughout this world!

We also plan to capitalize on the growth of The Winner’s Minute from this past year and expand its reach to go farther. As we do, we want to create a partnership with the audience of The Winner’s Minute, so we can invest more in them spiritually and then provide them with an opportunity to invest in the expansion of God’s kingdom as well.

Lastly, we are going to continue strengthening our in-reach ministry to our church family. We want to remodel our youth ministry, celebrate our volunteers and our tithing family, and then invest in the next generation through a revamped internship program.

We are excited about all God has planned for us in 2023!

Read About It:
Proverbs 29:18 KJV
Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.

Habakkuk 2:2 KJV
And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.

Matthew 28:19–20 NIV
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.

Discussion Questions:
1. Are you a member of our volunteer family?
2. Are you a part of our tithing family?
3. Why does tithing and volunteering matter within a church?
4. How does tithing and volunteering impact individuals?

GRACE UNVEILED, #24, “The Dominion of Grace” | Jim Hammond

Pastor Jim was back and gave his 24th installment of his study on the book of Romans called “Unveiled Grace: The Dominion of Grace.” By now, the congregants that have been following Pastor Jim’s teaching on Romans should have a clear understanding of what justification is and what it means to the believer. There are many benefits to this justification. It’s a gift of New Testament righteousness. But this righteousness is something you must be established in. And fortunately, by the time this study on Romans has been completed, you absolutely will have been established in it. Because, as Pastor Jim said, “I’ve been hammering it and hammering it and hammering it!”

How to Finish the Year Strong 1 | Mac Hammond

Pastor Mac gave a message entitled, “How to Finish the Year Strong.” We’re at the end of the year and many use this time as an occasion to pray about what the Lord would have them do in the coming year…to set their sail in Christ, so to speak. They want the Lord to help them identify the marks they are to press toward in order to finish their race. To that end, Pastor Mac spoke to us about “finishing strong.”

Releasing the Anointing | Releasing the Anointing

Special guest Dr. James Tan continued his message entitled, “Releasing the Anointing.” He used Hebrews 5:14 as his text: “But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.” Dr. James said, “This tells us there is solid food available, but it only belongs to those who are full age.” If there is full age, then that means these is a half age, or partial age, or young age. God’s goal for us is that we grow and mature into “full age.”

THE VISION IMPERATIVE, #5: The Commitment | Mac Hammond

This past weekend, Pastor Mac gave the last message in his series entitled, “The Vision Imperative.” Since it was the last message, that made it “Commitment Sunday.” He talked about commitment being the final step to whatever we need or desire from the Lord. Without commitment, he said, not much is going to happen in your life. Many people avoid commitment and, instead, are always seeking the proverbial “backdoor” of a situation. Pastor Mac said, “You can’t go through life that way. The only blessed person is a committed person.”

THE VISION IMPERATIVE, #4: What It Means to Be Blessed by God | Mac Hammond

Pastor Mac gave his fourth installment in his vision series, “The Vision Imperative.” The whole objective for this year’s vision series is designed for the purpose of setting our sails for the coming year in order to establish our goals and objectives as a local church for what God’s called us to do. And then, individually, you too must sharpen and clarify God’s vision in your own life and how it will fit into the larger vision of the local church. This is the very thing that will cause your life to “Come Alive!” After all, Proverbs 29:18 says, “Where there is no vision, the people perish!”
